ETS-HFSW5 Overview

ZyXEL 8-port Gigabit Ethernet switch provides high flexibility and high bandwidth connectivity to servers, workstations and other attached devices. With Gigabit connectivity, the GS-108A speeds up data transmission by transferring large files across a network while remaining interoperable with all 10, 100, and 1000Mbps devices. The compact designs fit easily on a desk or mount easily to a wall, and with true non-blocking switching capability, are ideal solutions for home and small office network applications.

High Performance
With non-blocking switching and full duplex standard, the GS-105A/GS-108A reaches speeds of up to 2000Mbps on each port, good for today’s and tomorrow’s media-rich applications.

The GS-105A/108A features auto-sensing 100/1000 Mbps ports that automatically detect the speed and duplex mode of attached servers, workstations, or hubs. Plug-and-Play functionality makes installation easy and fast.

Smart Features
The IEEE 802.3x standard-based flow control allows the GS-105A/108A to prevent pending traffic congestion by informing attached devices to stop data transmission. When the switch detects that each port’s buffer is nearly full, the attached devices are requested to wait until they can accept new data. Meanwhile, support for IEEE802.1p priority tagging optimizes quality of service.
